Heavy Cut levels what a polish cannot touch — deep scratches, sanding marks, oxidation — and leaves finer marks of its own. Medium Cut removes those and brings the depth back. Neither bottle does both jobs, which is why correction has been a two-step process for as long as it has existed.

Use a separate pad for each step. Carrying compound residue into the polishing stage undoes the second step before it starts.
