How to use Rim Reactor

Application Methods

Light to Moderate Brake Dust/Dirt (Spray & Rinse, No Scrub)

Best for vehicles washed regularly (weekly or bi-weekly). This method uses more product.

Steps:

  • Ensure wheels are cool and completely dry.
  • Set the nozzle to STREAM for direct coverage. Avoid spray/mist if there's heavy brake dust, as foaming can prevent contact with contaminants. Use spray/mist only if you plan to agitate with a brush.
  • Spray generously to cover the entire wheel in gel.
  • Wait 2–3 minutes for the formula to react and turn purple.
  • For optimal results, lightly agitate with a brush after 2 minutes, then wait another 2 minutes.
  • Rinse thoroughly using a hose or pressure washer.

Notes:

  • Coverage is essential. Areas not fully coated will not react or clean properly.
  • Dry wheels allow for a stronger reaction, as there's no water to dilute the formula.

Heavy Brake Dust & Road Grime (Brush Required)

Best for neglected wheels or heavy brake dust buildup.

Steps:

  • Set the nozzle to SPRAY or MIST for wider coverage.
  • Spray generously across the wheel surface.
  • Agitate thoroughly with a soft wheel brush.
  • Let it sit for 2 minutes, then agitate again and wait another 2 minutes.
  • Rinse well. Repeat if necessary.

How to Use Less Product & Still Get Great Results

Ideal for maximizing product efficiency during maintenance washes.

Steps:

  • Lightly wet the wheel.
  • Apply a light spray of Rim Reactor.
  • Use a brush to spread the product across the surface.
  • Let sit for 2 minutes, agitate with the brush, then wait another 2 minutes.
  • Rinse thoroughly.

Notes:

  • This method stretches product usage by maximizing coverage.
  • The formula can also be diluted 1:1 with water.

Sprayer Troubleshooting

  • Ensure the sprayer is fully twisted on and tightly secured.
  • Rotate the nozzle to the desired setting (STREAM, SPRAY, or MIST).
  • Squeeze the trigger quickly and fully for best output. A slow squeeze may result in a narrow stream.
  • If clogged, remove the sprayer and rinse with warm water.

Safety & Surface Compatibility

  • Safe for painted, clear-coated, powder-coated wheels, wraps, calipers, and wheel wells.
  • Acid-free and pH-neutral formula.
  • Rust on brake rotors after rinsing is normal and disappears after driving.
  • Do not apply on hot wheels or under direct sunlight.
  • Avoid use on bare, uncoated aluminum — spot test first.

Refill & Reuse

This bottle is refillable using Carfidant gallon-size refills. The sprayer is reusable — just pour and go.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why didn’t the product turn purple or clean everything?

A: This usually means the product wasn’t applied generously enough or the surface wasn’t fully covered. Reapply or use a brush to improve coverage and contact.

Q: Why use a brush if it's a spray & rinse cleaner?

A: Spray & rinse works best with generous product and full coverage. When trying to conserve product or clean heavy buildup, brushing ensures full contact with contaminants.
